that anyone convicted of a violent crime not be allowed to own or purchase a firearm.

Created by B.S. on January 17, 2013

I am concerned that people that display violent behavior and are convicted of doing so have displayed a tendency to repeat such violent behavior and even escalate the violence that they are committing and therefore pose a threat to the everyday non-violent citizen of the United States. I feel that federal action should be put into effect that eliminates persons that have been convicted of violent crimes from being able to own or purchase firearms. At the very least, I feel that such persons should have a waiting period in which they must demonstrate non-violent behavior before regaining the right to own a firearm.
