apologize for the Chinese exclusion laws; alleviate the shame and hurts for Chinese-American and Chinese from this.

Created by B.Y. on April 04, 2013

The hardship and discrimination in law for Chinese in the past have been quite influencing on people's life. This was violating human rights and humiliating Chinese people in the past and been going on for long run.
In the modern society and democratic country now, the US government should have this courage to make a formal apology for what happened in the past. It would make us learn from the history and know to make the right action and law for a government is very important.
The most important is this apology will make all the people that suffered in the past and the family and generation that live now feel dignified and respected for their ancestors and themselves. It would soothe the pain and the shame for the people who live now.
