apologize for the Government's role in the round-up of citizens & immigrants and deporting them to Mexico in the 1930s.

Created by J.G. on July 31, 2013

The U.S. Government needs to apologize for its role in the Mexican Repatriation during the 1930s. Our Government illegally rounded-up an estimated 1.2 million U.S. Citizens and 800,000 immigrants, including their families, at dance halls, markets, hospitals, theaters, and parks, loaded them onto trains and vans, and deported them to Mexico without due process. These illegal raids and deportations occurred across the U.S. Yet, only the State of California and the L.A. County Board of Supervisors have been brave enough to apologize for their actions.
