President Obama's 'response' to the earlier petition "Forgive Student Loan Debt to Stimulate the Economy and Usher in a New Era of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Prosperity" was nothing but empty posturing. It succeeded only in making a mockery of the issue, and was a slap in the face to students and graduates everywhere who are saddled with debt and most likely will be for the next decade.
Pointing to existing policies and patting yourself on the back does not change the fact that more can be done - and must be done if we are to have any future at all.
The students an graduates of this nation want real change, Mr. President.
