The other petition that describes encouraging Sony Pictures to offer a digital download is NOT encouraging people to stand up to terrorism. What makes the matter worse is that the threat from North Korea is not a credible threat.
Be that as it may, President Obama should not have joked about it.
Instead, he should have encouraged everyone on these points: (a) there will always be embarrassing things that people say, (b) we must never succumb to threats, and (c) we must never acquiesce to a third party's attempt to divide us with our embarrassment.
President Obama, please apologize and encourage Sony Pictures to release The Interview in the traditional manner. This is the only truly patriotic manner in which to settle this.
We must all say NOONE is going to dictate what we cannot watch.
