If the principle enemy of this funny talking citizen is his own government, and the principle defender of this citizen is the American Constitution, then it follows that the first enemy of that government is this citizens Constitution. You understand this conflict, but try to conceal it from the public by claiming to be the only interpreter and protector of that Constitution. Seeing that you want this role, yet allow your agency to violate those rights, you owe that citizen a formal apology for letting him down and likely causing him to have trust issues with you. The American thing to do now, is let him protect himself and play with his guns for us.
