Dear Mr. President, Commander-in-Chief,
Recently an American national, Louis DiNatale, has been arrested on the grounds of trying to smuggle a loaded pistol into Canada. He has stated that he was not even trying to go into Canada, but rather did so after a faulty GPS. We understand, and respect, Canada's determination to protect their borders, but a American national should not faces prison time abroad for a mistake. We also wish to show that his compliance with the Canadian legal system, as well as his willingness to return to Canada for the June court date show's his innocence. We ask that you take his Military service into account.
