We the people believe Marissa Alexander acted in the safety of the Stand Your Ground law which states that a person may justifiably use force in self defense when there is reasonable belief of an unlawful threat, without an obligation to retreat first. We believe her sentence is unjust and an appalling failure of the justice system. We are asking the Obama administration to intervene on this case and allow Marissa Alexander rights to the 'Stand your ground' law.
