The US government must officially appeal to the Japanese government to enact and enforce laws protecting marine mammals.
Notable mention of abuses are those occurring in Taiji, Japan where countless dolphins are being slaughtered senselessly under the pretext of tradition.
Whales and other marine mammals suffer a similar faith in addition to the problems introduced by over-fishing.
The US should also appeal that Japan release all those who have been imprisoned for releasing the dolphins trapped in the killer's nets.
