The purpose of the stock market is to generate positive investment in American companies. This has been wrecked by high speed trading and derivatives that have turned the stock market into a computer casino. A 1% sales tax on the purchase of securities would eliminate high speed trading. In addition, the extra tax revenue would help solve our current budget issues. We the people, want our stock market back and our budget problems solved.
