During the Bush administration, Congress nullified the Clean Air/ Clean Water Acts for gas companies using hydraulic fracturing, or"fracking," to drill for natural gas. In light of evidence of dangerous, irreversible damage to the precious water supply and health of individuals occupying that land in numerous states, I am petitioning that those laws should apply across the board to any and all companies that are involbed with drilling and fracking for natural gas and oil.
