I came into the United States in 1993 with my parents with a visitor's visa. I was 15 then. All I had until 2008 was a social security card marked not valid for work and and expired ID card. I did finish high school here in the U.S. and went to college transferred by the High School counselor. I was well aware of my legal limitations. In 2008 I discovered a student loan had been created with my information in 2001. The address the Department of Education communicated was my ex-wife's father. I filed police reports, Attorney Generals and was asked to file criminal charges which municipal courts do not allow. I had and have the support of Senator Portman. Federal Courts refuse to observe the law: HEA laws protect those ineligible students wronged by the schools. I gained status via VAWA.
