The American representative system is broken in that its near permanent politicians feel no financial impact from the decisions they make. I propose that All elected representatives receive a salary cap of a set multiple of the average American. I feel that I am not qualified to choose the multiple, but I'm sure it could be easily derived by an appropriately educed group. Using this plan we would introduce an incentive for our representatives to actually make decisions in OUR best interests, and not in their corporate or foreign sponsors.
