The sequester is supposed to solve our financial over-commitments, and is such an emergency that it is worth cutting food programs and national security to achieve.
In such an environment, it must be necessary to ask those in congress, the white house, and the supreme court to suffer the cut backs with the rest of us.
All three branches, their staff and others who support them should pay the sequester percentage for their lunches, gym usage, golf club memberships, health, dental and life insurance, postage, business travel (which should be reviewed to determine if it is really necessary), hair cuts, etc.
The size of their staff should be reviewed as well. Budgets for office supplies, equipment, copying & other direct costs should be reduced.
