We, The People, of these United States, request that President Barrack Obama appoint a committee tasked with the reasonable and responsible investigation of the prospect and viability of the legalization, cultivation and taxation of Cannabis as a viable source of industry and revenue. This is to include an investigation on the psychoactive effects as compared to other substances listed in its class and to those that are legal. This is to include investigating the viability of industrialized hemp as a cash crop. Also, this is to include an investigation on the demand of the American People.
This committee shall also be tasked with investigating the validity, necessity and constitutionality of The Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970.
