Edward Snowden has risked his life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness in order to shine the light of truth on the secrecy behind the full extent of the NSA's domestic surveillance program. This is a sure sign that he is a true representative of the people. Rather than being punished for his courage in coming forth, this patriot should be commended and appointed Director of the NSA.
We the people require knowledge that the people in charge of our security of our nation have our best interests at heart; instead of assuming that all American citizens are potential criminals, we should have certainty that our privacy will be respected and protected by the fourth amendment. I personally believe, as does everyone signing this petition, that Edward J. Snowden should be in charge of the NSA.
