Mr. President, no offense, but your administration lacks the integrity to properly restore faith in government. There have been too many revelations about government run amok and your administrations' defense has been shoddy at best, which has led to further suspicions. Simply saying that you didn't know isn't good enough. And just because you say you didn't know doesn't mean we can trust you to investigate and fix the problems. By appointing an independent counsel we can be sure that a fair and impartial investigation is conducted. With an independent counsel we can be assured that wrongdoers will be brought to justice. It's the only reasonable step forward. Thank you.
