We the People urge President Obama to nominate Janet Yellen for Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve. Ms. Yellen would be the first woman to lead the Federal Reserve and her nomination would be an inspiration to American women who for decades have struggled against glass ceilings in both the private and public sectors. Millions of women throughout the country already balance their checkbooks and manage their finances responsibly. Putting a woman in arguably the most influential economic position would be a victory for women in a traditional men's space.
President Obama, this could potentially be the most important decision of your presidency. You've been a good friend to women throughout your presidency, but you can still do more! Nominate Janet Yellen for Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve!
