Obama will chose the next head of the Fed soon. The current contenders are apparently Larry Summers and Janet Yellen. While both are reasonable choices, Yellen simply has a better track record and Summers is too much of an bank insider. In particular Summers help stop the regulating of derivatives and hailed the death of the Glass-Steagall Act both of which were core causes of the financial collapse, He has also worked recently for Citibank.
