Mr. President, we all know that a free and open exchange of ideas, goods, and services are critical to our nation and the world. The internet is where much of that exchange occurs today and it is critical that we keep it unencumbered.
Please appoint someone who understands how freedom and culture and technology relate and who will defend the ideals of this nation in communication policy.
I urge you to appoint Professor Lawrence Lessig to chairman of the FCC. Even if the US Senate chooses to not confirm him, it is a debate and discussion worth having.
