appoint a National Guard representitive to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Created by M.B. on October 05, 2011

As an Army Officer I've served in both the Army National Guard and I am currently on active duty working in the D.C. Metro area. I've served as a Battle Captain In Baghdad Iraq in 2005 and have experienced firsthand the unjustified negative attitude that the active duty Soldiers and Officers convey to the National Guard component. Not until we were in Country for several months did the experience, can do attitude and professionalism of the Army National Guard enlighten our active duty counterparts of the value gained by employing a National Guard Unit. This bias continues to this day unless a rightful and equal seat on the Joint Chiefs of Staff is allotted to a National Guard General.

Respectfully,
