Appoint a New Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Liberty

Created by J.L. on July 27, 2014

"We believe that each of us is 'wonderfully made' in the image of God. We, therefore, believe in the inherent dignity of every human being -- dignity that no earthly power can take away. And central to that dignity is freedom of religion."
President Barack Obama
National Prayer Breakfast 2014

It is in agreement with this statement that we call on President Obama to appoint a new Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. This position has been vacant for over nine months as religious minorities are exiled, imprisoned, and murdered from Egypt, to Sudan, to Iraq, and beyond. We ask him to act for the common welfare of these minorities around the world to show that America stands with them against such atrocities on a global scale and not just within our own borders.
