We are calling for the appointment of a new Inspector General for the Veterans Administration as well as an independent review of the Tomah VAMC by an outside entity such as the Department of Justice or another non-VA related entity. My father and other veterans have lost their lives due to the negligence of this and other VA facilities. The OIG found no wrongdoing in the treatment of my father - who died as a result of the negligence at the Tomah VAMC - showing that the OIG is incapable of conducting an unbiased and truthful investigation (the report is filled with errors) of VA Medical Centers. There needs to be an investigation by an outside entity in order to get the truth and justice for my father and the other veterans who have died.
