We the people vote on taxes almost yearly. We always vote on increasing taxes. Whether it is to build better roads, new schools, a local park, or a new parking garage. The taxes have "Timelines" in which they are to be enforced, but are they followed? Do they really expire? Do they go away? Or are we paying old taxes thay were supposed to expire years ago.
Nowadays every dollar counts in America. The Obama administration needs to appoint a committee, a non-partisan or bi-partisan, to review taxes that may have expired.
