Appoint Paul Krugman as succeeding Treasury Secretary to the President of the United States

Created by D.T. on January 07, 2013

Nobel-winning Paul Krugman predicted every consequence of the borrowing boom of the early 2000's and his editorial position has placed him firmly outside the sphere of Wall Street influence that seems to have tarnished the judgement and credibility of previous Treasury Secretaries. His ideas to solve our economic stagnation rely on tried-and-true Keynesian policies that are only now being used to reform European economies. This presidency should push politics aside and appoint someone who not only brings real data-driven solutions to the American economy, but is also willing to force the SEC to creatively address the problem of a global-level financial industry that profits off the proliferation of misinformation, manipulation of data, and deception of shareholders.
