Appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Chicago Police Department leadership and oversight.

Created by C.W. on November 25, 2015

We ask that the Department of Justice appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the destruction of evidence and filing of false reports by the Chicago Police Department in the case of the lethal shooting of Laquan McDonald in 2014. We urge that the prosecutor investigate the relationship between the Cook County State's Attorney, the Independent Police Review Authority, the Mayor of Chicago, and Chicago Police Department leadership that allows police officers to file false reports and destroy evidence in this and other cases without any fear of consequences.
