appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Department of Justice for not removing Oregon militia on public lands.

Created by L.B. on January 21, 2016

In April, 2014, Cliven Bundy and a number of armed protesters fired shots at federal officials when those officials attempted to remove cattle owned by Bundy from public lands. No arrests were made despite the attempts on federal officers' lives. Two individuals who were part of the armed stand off went on to later kill two police officers in California. On January 2 Cliven Bundy's sons and a number of armed militia occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. They have caused irreparable harm to artifacts that are part of the refuge. The land in question is also land that is held in trust by the government on behalf of the Burns Paiute Tribe. Failure to act is a violation of that rust responsibility. The Department of Justice needs to be investigated for their failure to act.
