According to the Huffington Post, Rep. Jason Caffetz (R-UT), who spearheaded the House GOP committee that investigated Planned Parenthood, admitted on Thursday, 10/08/2015, that there was no indication that the womens’ health organization had misused its federal funding. By admitting to this literal witch hunt, he admitted that the entire reasoning put forth for the necessity of this committee was false. What's more, The Hill reported on 10/17/2015 that the GOP was in possession of the unedited versions of the Planned Parenthood tapes, but refused to share them even with their colleagues, suggesting further fraudulent behavior on the part of the House GOP committee. Only a special prosecutor can realistically find the unspun truth behind the GOP's actions. We taxpayers are owed the truth.
