Appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate if FBI Director James Comey violated the Hatch Act.

Created by R.B. on October 30, 2016

James Comey, Director of the FBI, sent a vaguely worded letter to Congress indicating that he had 'discovered' emails that 'might' have a bearing on Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server when she was Secretary of State. He sent this letter, even though he had no search warrant to even begin looking at the emails. The letter violated long standing DOJ and FBI policy to not comment on ongoing investigations and also may have violated the Hatch Act which prohibits Executive Branch officials from engaging in certain forms of political activity. We call on President Obama to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate whether Mr. Comey did, indeed, violate the law.
