Whereas we, conscientious U. S. Citizens of all political persuasions, assert that:
1) The Government assumes vast powers to intrude into the lives of the people, to seize the property of the people and force burdensome defenses against such actions.
2) Such powers must be carried out fairly, equally and without bias under the law.
3) There is substantial evidence that the Internal Revenue Service violated this trust and abused its power to achieve political outcomes in contradiction to our national character.
4) Such violation of trust endangers our standing as being a nation of laws and the honest civil discourse required by democracy.
We the undersigned, petition for the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to investigate misconduct at the IRS and restore trust in our government.
