On July 5, 2016, FBI Director James Comey announced that he would recommend the Justice Department not to seek an indictment of Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server for official government business. He said that while although there is evidence for violations of wrongdoing, he would not recommend an indictment because the chance of winning a case against her would be hard.
A week earlier, Bill Clinton met with Loretta Lynch, leader of the Justice Department. Mrs. Lynch later acknowledged that it put a shadow over the fairness of the investigation. There is also an ongoing public corruption investigation of Secretary Clinton regarding the Clinton Foundation. We request that the Justice Department appoint a Special Prosecutor free of political influence to investigate.
