Approve of congressional and senate raises. They work for us citizens so we should have the say yes or no to raises.

Created by D.G. on January 15, 2013

I believe congress and the senate should no longer be allowed to vote in their own raises. They work for us citizens so each state should have the say on whether or not they should get raises. It would give them more reason to do a good job and make the citizens of their own state content with their job. Unless you own your own business you can't give yourself a raise and they should no longer be allowed to do that either. Also in times of federal budget issues there should be no raises period... not even a cost of living. My suggestion is for a 2% or less cost of living no approval needed (if federal budget has no issues). 3% or more then the next general state election it would be put on the ballet for that state(s).
