Approve Energy Development in the Wayne National Forest

Created by B.C. on October 26, 2015

The Wayne National Forest is a patchwork of land in southern Ohio. Without federal approval, oil and gas can’t be developed under the Wayne – which hurts energy development on private lands and prevents landowners from realizing the full value of their minerals. Approving energy development in the Wayne will restore landowner rights and strengthen our economy.

According to Wayne officials: “Mineral development is an important component of resource management on the WNF" and “The mineral program on the Wayne provides jobs and money to the local economy as well as returns revenue to the federal government.”

It's time we harness our abundant natural resources, restore our private property rights, and approve energy development in the Wayne National Forest!
