The keystone pipeline has been stalled largely to the President and Democrats in office. It would create a 1,179-mile long pipe through the country to get oil from fields in Canada to the southern states for processing and shipment. It has been held up primarily by Democrats because of the potential environmental issues that could arise from it. Republicans want it built to support current energy technologies and create what is being reported as around 41,000 jobs.
Change the fight on the pipeline. Lets build it, but why stop at oil technology and only 41,000 jobs? There would be 1,179 miles of tube exposed to the sun. By putting solar panels on the pipeline, we could create a lot more 'green energy jobs' and also turn an oil project into a green project.
