Approve Paid Family Leave (PFL)

Created by P.R. on June 10, 2015

Why doesn’t’ the U.S. have a Paid Family Leave (PFL) program? There are three states in the U.S. that have a PFL program. In places where PFL is not in effect low income families are afraid to leave work in fear that they will no longer be employed upon return. I propose the following requirement for anyone to receive that chooses WA PFL law should have worked at the same company for more than 6 months, work at least part-time, have an income that ranges from minimum wage to $23 per hour. In order for individuals to take leave the employers and the employees have to make a formal agreement for them to get paid on leave. It is simialr to a loan agreement.
