Wu Dialect (吴语） is a local langue of Jiangnan Region, which has being continued for over 3000 yrs.
The langue also is the matrix of Jiangnan Culture, which culture stands for the triditional Chinese elits‘ culture.
It will be regretful in case there's someday we can only speak a rough langue rooted from the dialect of some northern minorities so called Mandarin!
