In Sweden, there was recently a health revolution in dieting. Dr. Annika Dahlgvist of Sweden, tested the low carb diet in her personal practice and was later scrutinized by the Swedish Government. They wanted to shut her down, but they had no real reason to because the diet change to low carb diet worked great for weight loss and basic health. The Swedish government came out two years later after studying the diet and approved of it. The diet showed no harm in cardiovascular disease. The science the U.S. government uses to make our food guidelines is very outdated and is based on either cherry picked, or observational data. Correlation does not equal causation. There are several countries that are almost of heart disease and eat a high fat diet. It's time to base our diet on real science.
