While our country seems to be perpetually engulfed in economic turmoil; we, the American people of the state of Arkansas do not see it fit to abandon the Union. Doing so would nullify all efforts made by our nation to allow civil liberties. Our nation was founded on the principle of unity. Our constitution was devised in such a way that individual states could govern over their people, yet rely on the security of the federal government. It is by these principles that the American people have overcome adversity for 236 years. Whether you are white, black, gay, or atheist, this issue should be met with a great sense of nationalism. It is our sense of nationalism that has kept our country strong, without it, we will surely fall.
