Some of our soldiers and Civilian Workforce have concealed carry licenses. We have these licenses to protect ourselves and those we care about. Once on a Federal Installation it becomes a felony to carry. I ask for stricter background checks to include medical screenings for mental illness and drug abuse. Once this is passed those who have a license to carry is a federal license. The right to carry the weapon anywhere in the United States of America. The Fort Hood shooting could have been stopped if an armed soldier or Federal Employee was armed. This petition calls for a need to conceal carry everywhere, in the schools, on Federal Installations, In parks, any grocery store, etc. This petition calls for stricter Background checks and the proper Training of carriers.
