In every public school, there should be an undisclosed number of volunteer educators who are trained and armed with a concealed weapon. Select and train only those that have had extensive background checks and have shown no signs of mental instability.
Public schools have become targets for those wishing to do harm because there is little threat to their plans being thwarted. The knowledge alone that educators might be armed would stop countless school shooters and needless deaths. Allow our educators to protect our students and themselves from those who, despite gun laws, will always attempt to harm the defenseless.
