The Armalite Rifle design 15 (AR15), ammo, and magazines should be exempt from any past, present, or future firearm bans

The AR15 is American ingenuity at its finest. It has been the symbol of the American right to bare arms as well as our military strength since it was sold to the American public in 1963 and then to the military in 1964. This rifle has stood the test of time. I think this rifle should be the official rifle of the American people and should not be able to be banned. This petition extends to the ammunition of the rifle as well. Our right to own, maintain, and operate a firearm is also our ability to overthrow, eliminate, and replace our government if it starts to overstep its boundaries. In order to ensure our ability to do this, the citizens of this nation should at all times and without interference from the government, be able to own, maintain, and operate an Armalite Rifle model 15 (AR15)
