Ted Cruz led the charge for a 2013 government shutdown that lasted for 16 days and cost our economy on estimated $24 billion and brought us to the brink of default on our debt.
Due to free falling poll numbers for Cruz and his Tea Party, the Senator is changing his story and denying his role in shutting down our government and instead is playing the blame game and is pointing the finger at President Obama. It is not possible for a president to shutdown a government.
Under the pretense of not wanting Obamacare to pass he held the government hostage as hundreds of thousands of employees were furloughed, our resurging economy took some hits, and we were brought to the brink of defaulting on our debts which would have brought about an economic disaster.
