ascertain that only needy ex-spouses receive alimony.

Created by J.A. on September 26, 2011

All needy ex-spouses should receive appropriate support after divorce.
According to the Uniform Marriage and Divorce Act of 1971, an ex-spouse that is unable to support him/herself should receive alimony. The problem with the common alimony law is that, even a practicing Dentist[in Florida], gets awarded more than $4,000.00 per month of permanent alimony. Is there a rational basis or a legitimate State purpose for this award?
I you look across States, the same Dentist in Texas will be awarded NO alimony.
It is time for the Obama Administration to step in and order a Legislative review of the Alimony Law so as to fulfill the original intent-ALIMONY TO THE NEEDY!
