The Greek economy faces imminent collapse and the EU - through German Chancellor Angela Merkel -- is refusing to give Greece the same debt forgiveness the Germans received in 1953 -- perhaps the difference being that Greece hasn't systematically murdered 6 million Jews, and has, perhaps in Herr Merkel's opinion, failed to demonstrate a sufficiently teutonic work ethic.
Seeing as how the US Congress has, since 2008, repeatedly demonstrated an inability to function in a rational or adult-like fashion, the task of saving the Greek economy must fall to the rational actor of last resort -- Apple, Inc.
Apple has $178 billion in liquid assets sitting in banks. Apple could loan this money to Greece at reasonable interest rates with a reasonable repayment schedule.
Shame on the EU and ECB!
