In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press," Obama voiced skepticism about the National Rifle Association's proposal to put armed guards in schools following the Dec. 14 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
The school that the President's daughters attend, Sidwell School in Washington DC, permanently employs 11 armed security guards in addition to Secret Service protection.
We ask that since the President does not believe having armed guards in schools helps keep children safer, he ask that the 11 armed guards be removed from Sidwell School to assure the American people that he means what he says.
