Massachusetts abolished capital punishment in 1984, but the Federal authorities could take over the prosecution of terrorist acts like this and a Federal Court could pass the death sentence. By signing this petition you affirm that you as a U.S. citizen feel this would be an appropriate use of the death penalty as a penalty for the crime committed on the innocents at the Boston Marathon on Feb 15, 2013, and would further serve to act as a deterrent to others who in the future may seek to do such heinous acts to other innocents within the United States of America.
