" later to be titled the "Declaration of Independence." Abraham Lincoln's enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation which took effect on January 1, 1863, "freed. . .all persons held as slaves...."
From an older document claimed by many to be the ". . .inspired Word." of the GOD of Judeo-Christian heritage, DEUT 15:12-18 instructs the people on how to treat servants when you let them go free. ":. . . Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing floor, and your winepress. . .Do not consider it a hardship. . because his service. . .has been worth twice as much... And the Lord ...will bless you in everything you do..."
