Currently Senators and Representatives of Congress can be reelected an unlimited amount of times. With the current lack of responsibility Congress has shown to the American people, We the People need an amendment that will limit the terms of career politicians and bring fresh ideas to our government. If Congress can limit the terms of the President, then they ought to do the same for themselves.
Polls conducted by the Gallup Organization released in January of 2013 shows that the American people would vote for congressional term limits by a 75 – 21 margin.
