With congressional approval, this terminal would support all military and civilian personnel in Puerto Rico and would also open the doors to the entire active duty military communities, their dependents, as well as all military retirees and their families, access to Puerto Rico for official and leisure travel which is one of the privileges of the Space Available travel. Additionally, this would inject much needed cash (indirectly) into Puerto Rico's economy and a counter to the monopoly by all U.S. air carriers in Puerto Rico. The 156th Airlift Wing of the Puerto Rico ANG, which is part of the U.S. Air Force, already calls Luiz Munoz Marin IAP home and they can manage this terminal with very little overhead cost to the U.S. taxpayers!
