The American Taxpayer is appalled that members of Congress who resign over ethic, moral and corruption investigations are still eligible for government pensions when they retire.
Congressman Aaron Schock who will resign as a member of Congress effective March 31, 2015 is under investigation for misuse of public money, yet is still eligible for $18k a year when he reaches retirement age.
We are asking that Congress rewrite the laws that would prohibit one of their own from drawing any form of taxpayer funded retirement if they are forced to either resign or are asked not to seek re-election due to ethics, moral or corruption charges and/or investigations.
